The cable car of Phu Quoc is one of the most popular tourist attractions on the island, offering stunning views of the surrounding islands, clear blue waters, and lush green hills.

It’s located on the south of the island, and it connects An Thoi town to Hon Thom island, where it's located Aquatopia waterpark (+ info). You can easily reach the cable car station on a scooter and leave it for free in the parking lot of the complex.

The cable car system is one of the longest in the world, with a total length of about 8 kilometers, and its highest point at 164m. The ride takes about 15 minutes (one way), and each cabin can take up to 30 passengers. Be aware that the cable car doesn’t work continuously; but rather with operating hours windows, for example:
    09:30-11:30
    13:30-14:00
    15:30-17:00
This schedule might vary as it’s a relatively new attraction.

They only sell the tickets as a pack with Aquatopia Waterpark. The most straightforward option costs around 500.000 VND/per person. Bear in mind that in 2023 there was no possibility of getting a cheaper ticket only for the cable car. You should check the official website, as this could also change.

It's not crowded, but there may be waves of tourists coming from resorts.Additionally, the town where the interest is located, which resembles an artificial and caricatural copy of an Italian village, is still under development and almost empty (shops and restaurants included).

The cable car and the waterpark in Phu Quoc have the same owners as the Golden Bridge and the cable car in Fansipan, among others. This company invests a lot of money in these tourist attractions nationwide, which are all very similar, expensive, and superficial. The prices are high; in some, the experience may not be authentic. Anyway, it’s up to you.

The ride with the views is beautiful; however, it's too expensive if you only want to enjoy the landscape.
