Los Dragos viewpoint features a large and unique dragon tree leaning toward the ravine.
How to get there
It’s located in the northwest of the island, between Tijarafe and Puntagorda, about 40 minutes by car from Los Llanos. The roads are in good condition, although if you’re coming from the south, you’ll need to navigate the winding Barranco de las Angustias. However, this shouldn’t pose any problem. You can park next to the viewpoint, although the space is limited to just a few cars (4-5 maximum). From there, it’s a 2-minute walk to the viewpoint.
Los Dragos viewpoint
This is a quiet, well-maintained viewpoint, easily accessible, with shade and a tap with drinking water. There’s also a wooden table with chairs. The view are nothing extraordinary, but the real highlight is the dragon tree that stands at the viewpoint.
Nearby
In the area, there’s a hike where you can see several dragon trees along the path. In fact, the north of La Palma has the highest concentration of these trees in all of the Canary Islands. You can also visit caves that are considered archaeological and ethnographic sites.
If you’re in the area, it’s worth a stop.
