The Garome Gorge viewpoint offers breathtaking views of the Garome Ravine, known for its towering walls and depth, creating a spectacular landscape of canyons and gorges.
How to get there
It’s located in the northwest of the island, between Tijarafe and Puntagorda, about 40 minutes by car from Los Llanos. The roads are in good condition, although if you’re coming from the south, you’ll need to navigate the winding Barranco de las Angustias. However, this shouldn’t pose any problem. You can park right at the viewpoint.
The Garome Gorge viewpoint
The gorge serves as a natural boundary between the municipalities of Tijarafe and Puntagorda. The viewpoint not only offers an impressive view of the Garome Ravine, but it’s also an excellent spot to appreciate the contrast between the native vegetation and the steep cliffs descending toward the sea. It’s a great place to watch the sunset.
At the viewpoint, you’ll also find a fountain with drinking water and large letters spelling out #viveTijarafe, where people often take photos.
Nearby
Very close by, you can find the Los Dragos viewpoint:
