This shipwreck is located at the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica at Playa Grande, Manzanillo.

The access is easy. The roads are good so you can make it even with a Fiat Punto. You can leave the car at one of the sides of the road, for instance, here.

It’s not a very crowded place but you will find some people taking pictures of the boat. In addition to the picture, you can walk on the boat, but be careful with the waves and with the boat itself, it’s “a bit” rusty”.

It's a very long and fine grained sand beach. The lush vegetation behind the beach is worth mentioning, as well as the capuchin monkeys and sloths that you can spot on the trees..

The boat was transporting fuel in 2017 when it had a breakdown and the water started to come into the engine room. To save the ship from sinking, the captain decided to get closer to the beach. This movement allowed them to extract 1600 gallons of fuel without spilling a drop in the sea.

It's a picturesque place, the landscape is cool, caribbean beach, jungle and a shipwreck.
