Cape Skinari is a cape located at the northeasternmost tip of Zakynthos. Besides the swimming area with diving boards and the blue caves, it stands out as one of the places where you can take a boat to Navagio Beach.
How to get there
It takes about 55 minutes by car from Zakynthos town. The road running from north to south is perfectly paved, however, as you get closer to the cape, it becomes somewhat narrower.
For the swimming area, you can park here. If you want to join a trip to Navagio Beach, you can leave your car in this parking lot (here).
Cape Skinari
The swimming area is located here, going down a lovely staircase path. Around the area, you will see several platforms with sunbeds (free) where you can relax. Access to the water can be via the diving boards or stairs.
In this area, there are several blue caves that you can reach by swimming. However, you must be quite careful with the boats.
At the top, next to the parking lot, you will find a restaurant and two typical windmills where people take photos.
If you are looking to take a boat to Navagio Beach, you should go here. Boat tours coming from Agios Nikolaos make a stop at Cape Skinari to pick up more people. These are usually large boats with 30 people on board. The price is €25 for 2.5 hours, and the tour includes some stops at the blue caves.
The walk with the stairs is beautiful.
