Caños de Fuego Interpretation Center is an educational center focused on volcanic geological formations. The center was established after the discovery of volcanic tubes caused by the 1949 eruption of the San Juan volcano. In addition to this, you can visit a volcanic tube called Cueva de los Vidrios (Glass Cave) and the Glass Viewpoint.
How to get there
It’s located south of Los Llanos, about a 20-minute drive. The original road was destroyed by the volcano's eruption, but a new road has been built that crosses the lava flows. It's perfectly paved, so you shouldn't have any trouble getting there. Next to the interpretation center, you'll find a parking lot where you can leave the car.

Admission to the center costs €8 (€4 for residents) and includes access to the interpretation center and a guided tour of the volcanic tube Cueva del Vidrio. If you also want to visit the Glass Viewpoint, you'll need to pay an additional €4 (€2 for residents). There are discounted packages that include visits to several other centers.
The center features a main room with exhibits on the different types of lava and the process of volcanic tube formation. The ticket also includes a 30-minute guided tour of the Cueva de los Vidrios, as well as a 5-minute video presentation about La Palma. You'll also find a souvenir shop, a café, and a panoramic viewpoint at the top of the center.
The Glass Viewpoint is located outside the center (location). To reach it, you’ll need to walk for about 5 minutes along a beautiful path built over the lava. As mentioned, you must pay for a ticket, since there will be someone checking your entry before you reach the viewpoint.
Nearby
Additionally, it's worth noting the Cueva de La Paloma volcanic tube. This tube stretches over 500 meters and features incredible geological formations, hosting unique fauna adapted to these underground conditions. This cave can only be visited through a guided tour with private companies, with prices typically around 25€.
The information provided is interesting, and the tube tour is pretty cool.
