El Time viewpoint is located at almost 600 meters above sea level. It is a small platform on a ledge that offers panoramic views of the Tajogaite volcano, also known as the Cabezavaca volcano, which erupted in 2021.
How to get there
It’s located west of Los Llanos, about 20 minutes away by car. The road has quite a few curves, as you have to drive up Las Angustias mountain. However, it’s wide enough and perfectly paved, so you shouldn’t have any trouble reaching the viewpoint. You can park easily once you arrive.
El Time Viewpoint
From here, you’ll have wide views of the Aridane Valley, including the towns of Los Llanos, El Paso, and Tazacorte. On clear days without haze, it’s an excellent spot to get a full view of the Tajogaite volcano and the impact it had on the island, including the path the lava took to the sea.

Alongside the viewpoint, there is a craft shop and a café. Additionally, there’s a 3 km trail (very steep) from the viewpoint that takes you directly to Tazacorte Beach.
There is a 5 km hike around the volcano, but access is only possible through a guided tour that must be booked in advance.
It’s a popular viewpoint to observe the impact of the volcanic eruption.
