Aquatopia Sun World Park is a waterpark located on an island at the South of Phu Quoc. It features not only water slides, lazy rivers, and wave pools but also a roller coaster, a drop tower, and a beach. It's owned by the Sun World company, and opened for the first time in 2019. The Sun World company may sound familiar as it is associated with other notable attractions in Vietnam, such as the cable car at Golden Bridge or Fansipan.
To reach the waterpark, you must take the famous cable car of Phu Quoc (+ info). It’s located on the south of the island and connects An Thoi town to Hon Thom island, where Aquatopia waterpark is located. You can easily reach the cable car station on a scooter and leave it for free in the parking lot of the complex.
Regarding the tickets, they sell them together as a package for Aquatopia Waterpark + Cable car. The most straightforward option costs around 500.000 VND, but there are other offers that include a buffet lunch. Additionally, there is a fee of 30,000 VND for lockers. You should check the official website as it could change.
The cable car does not operate continuously, so you should check the schedules on the cable car's official website. Similarly, the water slides have different working hours and they are not always open. Actually, you will have to spend almost a day at the waterpark if you want to try all the attractions. Bear in mind that if your swimsuit has any piece of metal (such as buttons or sliders of adjustable shoulder straps on women’s swimwear), you may be restricted from accessing many water slides.
A waterpark is not very exotic, but it’s fun. The cable car ride is beautiful.
