Ninh Binh province<\/strong> has a population of around 1 million people spread over 1387 km2. It\u2019s called the \"Halong Bay on Land\"<\/strong> because of its karstic mountains, rivers and flat valleys that are sometimes partly submerged. In fact, the geological formations are very similar, the only difference being the elevation of each area. It\u2019s worth mentioning that the Trang An landscape complex is on the UNESCO World Heritage List.<\/strong>

In addition to this, it also holds some historical monuments<\/strong> such as the capital of the ancient kingdom Dai Co Viet, or the massive religious complex<\/strong> of Bai Dinh.

Climate<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Ninh Binh has a humid subtropical climate. You can expect hot and humid summers and mild winters<\/strong>. Here you have a table with the max and min average temperature per month:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Because of the monsoon, there are two different seasons in Ninh Binh, the dry and the rainy one<\/strong>. The dry season spans from November to April while the rainy one goes from May to October. If you want to see the colorful rice fields, you will have to visit this area at the beginning of May.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Stay & Accommodation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Although the area of interest is not very big, you can\u2019t visit the essentials on a day trip<\/strong>. Already Bai Dinh Pagoda or the boat ride in Trang An river will take you a half-day each. We recommend you to spend at least 2-3 days in the area.

The main city is Ninh Binh, but if you want to be closer to nature you can find an accommodation out of this city<\/strong>. For instance, if you stay around Tam Coc<\/strong> you will have many of the most interesting activities of the area next to you, in a quieter environment.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
